For Harvard Business School’s BEMS programme, filmmaker Kevin Wolf captured around 50 hours of footage across 293 media files. CrowdClip transformed that footage into 70 personalised participant videos, giving them professional content centred on their own experience. This helped Harvard extend the event through valuable participant networks, social proof, and post-event sharing. Meanwhile, it allowed Kevin a higher-value service he could offer at a premium.

Personalised Videos PRO
As an established filmmaker already producing premium work, the challenge was not quality. It was how to scale that work and offer more value to his client without adding equivalent editing hours.
For this BEMS programme, Kevin captured around 50 hours of footage across 293 media files, totalling approximately 100 GB.
Traditionally, that volume of professionally shot content might result in one primary event film.
Harvard, however, saw an opportunity to turn the experiences of its high-profile participants into personalised social assets that made them feel recognised and gave them something worth sharing with their valuable personal and professional networks.
To Kevin’s point of view as an event videographer, producing dozens of personalised videos manually would require him to repeatedly search through hours of footage, find each participant’s clips, and create separate edits.
More deliverables would normally mean far more editing. He needed a way to make his footage work harder without turning one premium project into weeks of additional post-production.
Kevin used CrowdClip to turn his existing event production into personalised videos at scale.
CrowdClip did not replace Kevin’s role as the filmmaker. Instead, it allowed his creative work to go further.
He remained responsible for the professional cinematography, storytelling, and visual direction of the production.
CrowdClip handled much of the repetitive work required to identify individuals across a large footage library and create personalised outputs for them.
CrowdClip set up a dedicated check-in page where he could register the participants, allowing the platform to identify them across his event footage.
Kevin uploaded a professionally edited event recap template that established the story, pacing and creative direction of the videos as well as the most important requirement for CrowdClip: the designated personalised sequences.
CrowdClip delivered each personalised video directly to its respective participant through a centralised share hub wherein BEMS could send all the videos in one click. Through CrowdClip's seamless distribution process, the participants could easily view, download, and share their personalised videos.
Scales video output while saving hours of editing
One Harvard BEMS production became 70 personalised attendee videos.
CrowdClip automated the repetitive work of finding participants and selecting their best moments across hours of footage and creating individual versions. These all while preserving Kevin’s cinematography and creative direction.
The workflow saved an estimated 50 hours of post-production, allowing Kevin to deliver significantly more content without increasing his editing workload at the same rate.
Turns attendees into valuable social assets for the videographer’s client
Each attendee received a professional video centred on their experience, their moments and their own story.
For Harvard BEMS, 70 personalised videos meant 70 potential social assets distributed through a highly influential audience.
This gave BEMS an opportunity to extend beyond its owned channels, creating authentic social proof, potential media value, and FOMO that could strengthen interest in future programmes.
Gives a higher-value service to offer premium clients
CrowdClip enabled Kevin to offer Harvard more than a traditional event recap. Personalised attendee videos became an additional premium deliverable built from footage he was already capturing.
This created an opportunity to generate more billable value from the same production, while strengthening his role as a creative partner to the client.
Extends the reach and value of Kevin’s work
Instead of one final film carrying the value of the entire production, CrowdClip created dozens of opportunities for Kevin’s footage to be viewed and shared.
For Kevin Wolf, CrowdClip demonstrated a different way for an established filmmaker to grow.
Rather than replacing his filmmaking expertise or automating the creative work that made clients hire him in the first place, personalising videos is more about making that expertise scalable.
With CrowdClip, Kevin gained another way to create value for a premium client without requiring an equivalent increase in his own labour.
His experience captures CrowdClip’s opportunity for videographers.
