ACTAI Global hosted a five-day exclusive retreat in Port Stephens as a lead-up to the West Tech Fest. It focused on economic empowerment for the Australian startup ecosystem and ocean conservation, especially supporting the Great Barrier Reef Legacy in their coral conservation efforts. The event brought together high-profile attendees from its diverse community.
For such a high-ticket event, co-founder and chairman Bill Tai wanted to professionally capture its exclusivity while highlighting the personal experiences of each attendee. His goal was to create unique, shareable keepsakes that attendees could cherish while amplifying the event’s reach on social media.
“On top of interesting presentations and tech talks, we had exciting activities such as nature hikes, visiting Steve Irwin’s boat, kitesurfing with the great Layne Beachley, and other water and beach sports,” Bill shares. “So, I wanted to capture the unique experiences of our attendees in an impactful video and provide personalised keepsakes for them to cherish and share on social media.”
However, creating high-quality, personalised videos for such a multifaceted event posed challenges. Producing individual videos for each attendee required extra time for recording and scanning through extensive footage, adding labour and pressure to the videographer.
